Lexcel is the Law Society's practice management standard, It is a scheme for any type of practice to certify that certain standards have been met following independent assessment. The Lexcel practice management standard is only awarded to solicitors who meet the highest management and customer care standards. Lexcel accredited practices undergo rigorous independent assessment every year to ensure they meet the required standards of excellence in areas such as client care, case management and risk management.
Association of Personal Injury Lawyers (APIL); www.apil.com
APIL is a not-for-profit organisation which exists to fight for the rights of injured people. It provides accreditation to lawyers specialising in the area of personal injury law. This accreditation shows an APIL lawyer has achieved a specific standard. An APIL accredited lawyer will provide you with expert legal assistance if you have been injured or contracted an illness or disease through no fault of your own.

Resolution is an organisation committed to the constructive resolution of family disputes. Members of Resolution follow a Code of Practice that promotes a non-confrontational approach to family problems, encouraging solutions that consider the needs of the whole family, and in particular the best interests of any children involved. Two of our Family Law team are members of Resolution.

Collaborative Family Law is a relatively new way of dealing with family disputes.Collaborative lawyers work with you, your partner and your partner's lawyer in a series of face-to-face negotiations to help you resolve your family disputes without resorting to court. In order to carry out Collaborative Law, lawyers have to undertake specialist training.
Law Society Children Panel:
The Law Society Children Panel accreditation scheme aims to connect people with legal practitioners experienced in representing children and other parties under the Children Act 1989. Scheme members must be solicitors or legal executives and provide advice and representation for children in all family matters, for adults when their children are 'at risk' or have been taken into care and for local authorities in care proceedings. Scheme members can also help with family breakdowns, residence, contact, emergency protection, adoption and parentel responsibility.

SFE is an independent, national organisation of lawyers, such as solicitors, barristers and legal executives who are committed to providing the highest quality legal advice for older and vulnerable people, their families and carers. SFE members are specialists in their field and have the experience and knowledge to give clear, expert advice to their clients.
